To use arch4 you first enter data taken with your own bow, such as the gaps or sight positions at different target distances. Arch4 then estimates your arrow release velocity and arrow drag. These values allow arch4 to calculate the arrow's ballistic trajectory to the target at any distance or elevation. This is particularly useful for field archery where the targets are at a range of distances and where the targets may be much higher or lower than the archer.Arch4 supports three archery shooting styles: Gap Shooting, Sighted Bows and String Walking
Arch4 can use your cell phone's camera and tilt measurements to improve your shot. For gap shooting the aim point for the arrow is displayed overlaying the picture of the target creating a virtual sight.
